Denise Richards shared a clip from her new movie, Dirty Hands, in which she costars with Patrick Muldoon, who died April 19.
Richards and Muldoon, who were exes and longtime friends, had been scheduled to promote the project this week, she said.
Muldoon was 'so proud' of their new movie, which was his last, Richards wrote.
Denise Richards is really missing her ex and longtime friend Patrick Muldoon, who died April 19.
"Pat & I were supposed to do press this week for DirtyHands," Richards posted Thursday on social media. "He was so passionate about this movie & worked so hard on it. He was personally close to many involved."
The crime thriller features Richards and Muldoon alongside Kevin Interdonato, who also wrote and directed the movie, which will be released in theaters and to streamers Friday.
"We did our first movie together & I am so blessed & grateful I did his last movie with him," Richards captioned dramatic footage from the film. "While I'm still in shock and devastated, I wanted to share this clip. I know he would want everyone to see the movie. His dear friend Kevin wrote & directed & acted in it & his dear friend Guy produced & acted in it. he was so proud of this movie."

The two costarred in 1997's Starship Troopers early in their careers, and they remained close afterward, even dating for a time.
The Drop Dead Gorgeous star noted in a tribute shared Tuesday that she was "deeply heartbroken & devastated" after the loss.
"You were my best friend & my family," Richards wrote. "We met in our first acting class, I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on who's the boss. And here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don't know it without you."

She added that "the friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare."
Both Richards' daughters with Charlie Sheen shared their own memories.
Lola Sheen, 20, noted that she had also been close to the Days of Our Lives actor.
"I thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever," she wrote. "When I think of my childhood I think of you Pat. And it's gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives. You were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same, but that's just because of how much you impacted us."

Other remembrances of Muldoon have continued to roll in, whether it be from ex Tori Spelling or Muldoon's sister.
Dirty Hands will mark the actor's final project. Before that, he appeared in the 2025 Hallmark movie Double Scoop and in the crime film The Corner.
