Singer D4vd was arrested on Thursday, April 16, months after police said the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in a vehicle belonging to him.
The singer, whose name is David Anthony Burke, released his debut album “Withered” in April 2025 several years after “Romantic Homicide” — the song Universal Music Canada called his “breakout hit.” Yet the songwriter would, months later, be linked to the death of a teenage girl who disappeared from her Southern California home at age 13.
D4vd was arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held without bail, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed on April 16.
Here’s a timeline of the case, including what’s next.
