Jesy Nelson and Zion Foster welcomed twin daughters before their 2026 split.

The Little Mix alum met Foster, a singer and rapper, through friends in 2022. The former couple welcomed twin daughters, Ocean and Story, in May 2025.

In January 2026, Nelson revealed that their daughters had been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type 1, and that same month, the former couple broke up.

'We want to give [our daughters] the most positive, happy and uplifting time and energy and because we have both been through such a traumatic experience, the energy wasn't right between us, which is understandable," she told the Daily Mail in February 2026. "We are still friends and we are still united in co-parenting our daughters, they are our main focus, that's all we can do, be the best possible parents we can right now."

So, who is Jesy Nelson’s ex-fiancé? Here’s everything to know about Zion Foster and his former relationship with the singer.

Foster was born in August 1999 in London. He spent his childhood listening to gospel music, as well as rap and R&B artists, including Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Usher.

He grew up attending church, which also influenced his music. He previously told New Wave, “In church at special celebrations, we will sing a happy song that's wishing you well but it's really up-tempo and happy and lets you leave with positive energy!"

He started singing when he was 10 and began taking it seriously a few years later. “The first time I recorded was in a youth club,” he told New Wave. “One of my friends [was] rapping at the time and he invited me to come and do a chorus — I didn't really think anything of it!"

“When I got to the studio, I liked the booth, I liked the vibe and thought I sounded good," he contined. "I stayed motivated and just kept singing from there.“

Foster uploaded his first single, “Get This Girl,” to SoundCloud in 2015, following it with “Oh Nana.” He released his debut EP, Her, Her & You, in 2019, and has released a number of singles since then.

In 2024, Foster and Nelson released a song called “Mine."

Foster and Nelson first met in 2022. While appearing in the documentary Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, Foster said that their close friends were dating each other and he joined them on a night out.

Foster was starstruck by her celebrity status, saying, “The first time I ever saw Jess was literally like, [paparazzi] just walking down the street [flashing cameras at her]. I was like 'Oh my god, what's going on?' because that's not my world.”

The two were first linked in November 2022 after taking a romantic trip to Jamaica.

The former couple first announced that they were expecting twins on Jan. 12, 2025. Alongside a photo of Foster resting his hand on Nelson’s bump, they wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram, “She’s eating for 3 now 👶👶.”

That April, Foster ran the London Marathon in honor of the Twins Trust charity. He shared photos of himself with his medal on Instagram, writing, “Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life, it took everything out of me to cross that finish line but I did it! BRING ON FATHERHOOD! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽.”

Nelson commented, “We’re so proud of you!!! The best daddy in all of the lands 🥹🤍.”

After experiencing medical complications with her pregnancy, Nelson gave birth to their daughters, Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, weeks early on May 15, 2025.

"So ... Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days," they wrote in a joint post on Instagram. "It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love 🥹."

In January 2026, Nelson shared that their daughters had been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a rare neuromuscular disorder that weakens and wastes away muscles due to the loss of a specific nerve cell in your spinal cord that controls muscle movement, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

She recalled being told that her daughters would require treatment immediately and would probably never be able to walk.

"They probably will never regain their neck strength, so they will be disabled," she said. "And so the best thing we can do right now is to get them treatment and then just hope for the best."

The singer said that the previous three months had been “the most heartbreaking time of my life,” adding that she is “grieving the life I thought I was going to have with my children.”

Foster and Nelson got engaged in September 2025

"Just got engaged to my best friend 🥹💍," Nelson wrote in the caption alongside a photo of the couple on the beach.

Foster later shared on his Instagram Stories that the engagement ring is "1 of 1" and was crafted by Ariel B. with Frost of London. In another post on his Instagram Stories, Foster wrote, “God is the greatest 🧡 the luckiest man."

Shortly after Nelson revealed their daughters' diagnoses, Foster shared a video of himself reading a poem to his “two little warrior girls” on social media.

In the video he shared to TikTok, he said, "They said it’s unlikely you’ll walk, you may not be able to talk, probably won’t be able to hold your head up, that’s what me and Jesy heard."

He continued, "It became so clear, doctors only go near what they can measure, so what’s certain? I watch your smiles like sunsets, not promised, but real. I listen to you babble the sweetest melodies. In the moment it makes me wonder, if I keep telling you who I want you to be, what I want you to do, what I expect from you, am I loving you or am I loving my fear?"

Foster then went on to direct his daughters directly. "Story, is your heart okay? Ocean, how’s your mind?" he said. "I hear strength in your lungs every time you cry, two little warrior girls who already know how to fight."

In January 2026, Foster and Nelson ended their relationship. In an interview with the Daily Mail the following month, Nelson shared that their daughters’ health crisis contributed to the split.

"We have been through such a traumatic experience and for us, our girls are our main priority and our main focus," she said. She added that the couple remain "friends" and co-parents.

In May 2025, Nelson shared that she and Foster were filming a documentary series for Amazon Prime Video.

“We have more exciting news to share,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first time mum to our beautiful baby girls Ocean and Story.”

In January 2026, Foster posted the series' teaser on Facebook, reflecting "on the past year and a half," which he called "a rollercoaster."

"When [Nelson] and I started this project we couldn’t see the road ahead, but to see how it all played out and having it filmed simply feels like God’s plan. The show is raw, authentic and honest," he wrote. “As a new family we were under immense pressure and stress. A lot of traumatic moments but nonetheless we made it here today."

Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix premiered on Feb. 13 and is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
